At the age of 8, Diego entered the Music Conservatory of Valencia (Spain). During the next seven years he studied classical guitar, harmony and music. At the age of 16, he was already teaching electric guitar to his own students at La Sala, a renowned school in Valencia.

When he was only 15, he joined the band Rock 'n' Bordes, recorded two albums with them and played all over Europe during three successive tours.

Diego later collaborated with artists such as Alberto Tarin ,Merche Corisco, Sergio Dalma, Tam Tam Go, Tontxu, Alex Ubago, Manolo Tena, Jaime Urrutia, Santiago Auseron, and Andres Calamaro , which led to his relocation to the Spanish capital of Madrid.

He continued to work with many national artists, while he developed serious musical habilities and a real style and presence on the stage
